The Adriatic Sea, Venice, the lagoons. Being in Lido di Jesolo you'll notice that it lies in a unique part of Italy. But it becomes more special, knowing that it has the largest football tournament in Italy during the Easter period.The tournament begins with the teamleaders reception on Thursday evening. Friday the tournament begins with the preliminaries in and around Lido di Jesolo. Saturday morning all teams gather together at the Piazza Mazzini for the welcome ceremony. After a festive parade, accompanied with live music they’ll arrive at Piazza Aurora. Here everyone is welcomed by the mayor of Lido di Jesolo. After the conclusion of the opening ceremony, the tournament continues with the preliminaries. In the evening there will be no matches, some want to stay in the cosy centre of Jesolo and some go visiting Venice by night. The classification matches are on Sunday in the afternoon, whilst the finals in the central, beautiful new stadium of Jesolo start in the late afternoon/early evening in presence of the mayor of Jesolo. A team leaders match Italy vs rest of Europe and a nice prize-giving ceremony, followed by a spectacular fireworks show conclude the tournament and a sport weekend.

As well as participation at the tournament, Euro-Sportring also arranges the accommodation for the participants. Participants can usually choose between school accommodation, group accommodation (youth accommodation and bungalows) and hotels. Lido di Jesolo: Lido di Jesolo, home to 10,000 pople,is the most famous bath resort on the northern part of the Adriatic coast because of its wide shoreline. It is a many miles long beach front, at the western side of the Piave river, with a 3 mile long promenade full of shops, bars, restaurants, terraces and other attractions and dominated by 400 hotels, plus appartments and holiday camps. The peninsula between Jesolo and Punta Sabbioni (12 miles) borders the laguna of Venice - this area is filled with recreational facilities. From Punta Sabbioni you can take the public bus boat which will take in 35 minutes right to the San marco square in Venice.

Venice is around 26 miles away. The famous city of gondolas built on small islands connected by bridges can be reached within 35 minutes with the bus-boat from Punto Sabbioni. See the famous Rialto bridge and the San Marco church with its spacious place in front of it and the numerous terraces. Make a trip by Gondola through the innumerable canals or see the famous glass works of Murano. A visit of Venice is an absolute must!

Worth seeing in Venice: * The Rialto bridge over the Canal Grande is an experience in itself. Numerous market traders, selling mainly souvenirs, provide a colourful and theatrical scene. * The house of Marco Polo. This is the birthplace of the famous explorer, located at the Corte del Million courtyard. * The Piazza San Marco, which is the first stop of the bus-boat from Punto Sabbioni, is a great place to be in daytime but certainly also in the evening. Time to stroll around and enjoy a drink at the historic Florian or Quadri.
