Stay
As well as participation at the tournament, Euro-Sportring also arranges the accommodation for the participants. Participants can usually choose between school accommodation, group accommodation (youth accommodation and bungalows) and hotels. The accommodation we offer has been selected with care and must comply to a number of conditions, such as: are they within easy reach of the sports park, do they provide value for money, are they suitable for sports groups, are they safe and is the management flexible.  

Other information
The meals (depending on arrangement) are served in the tournament marquee at the sports complex of KFC Hamont. During the tournament different kinds of snacks and drinks will be sold in the canteen and at different stands on the sports grounds.

Touristic information
The community Hamont-Achel (13,000 inhabitants) is situated right on the border with the Netherlands: a few steps to the east and you have left Belgium. Hamont-Achel is surrounded by woodlands and agriculture (akkers) which gives this area a very friendly ambiance. The centre of the town is quiet, so if you're looking for more entertainment you should go to Lommel or Valkenswaard, both about 10 miles away.

Valkenswaard, in southern Netherlands is 10 miles from Hamont.
This Noord-Brabant town is a tourist town, around 6 miles to the south of 'light city' Eindhoven, a few miles from Hamont, just on the other side of the Dutch border. Valkenswaard is particularly popular among tourists looking for the peace and quiet of the countryside. This is a rural area, rich in woodlands. Yet there's plenty to do both in the daytime and evenings, as this town to the south of Eindhoven has a very lively and attractive centre.

Lommel, about 10 miles from Hamont.
Is a town of about 29,000 inhabitants and is considered to be the most important municipality of the province Limburg. It is surrounded by pine forests and dunes and is a paradise for the nature lovers. But this very old town also has an attractive and bustling centre around the market square with its former town hall and the remarkable administrative centre, that joins old and new architecture. The town offers a large choice of shopping possibilities, restaurants and taverns. On Sunday, from April to October, the well known “Teutenmarket” (a flea- and antique market) takes place in Lommel

Funpark Bobbejaanland in Lichtaart, 31 miles from Hamont.
Is one of the famous theme parks of Belgium with plenty of attractions and shows. Children's land, exciting rides and different multilingual shows, there is so much to do for every age, that a whole day is needed to make a visit worthwhile.

Program introduction
With over 20 years of experience, KFC Hamont '99 has all the expertise for the delivery of a great programme. For many people in this area the Euro Cup is the event of the year. During the finals the stadium is filled with spectators. On Friday evening the team leaders are invited by the mayor of Hamont for the official teamleaders reception. After this there will be a leaders meeting where everyone receives the latest tournament information and is able to ask specific tournament related questions. Meanwhile players and supporters will be welcomed in the clubhouse or the marquee. On Saturday morning a start will be made with the first group matches. At noon there is time for the welcome ceremony with a presentation of all participating teams and national flags (feel free to bring your own flag). After this break the group matches continue. In the evening KFC Hamont organises a get-together evening with Penalty Cup in the intimate stadium (entry on arrival). Sunday is the day of the classification matches and the finals. Teams which are not participating in the finals, can visit Lommel or Hammelt. Before dinner the Euro Cup will be concluded with another highlight: the prize-giving ceremony in the marquee. Teams departing Monday morning, but still have time and energy to explore more, can visit Bobbejaanland in Lichtaart (25 miles from Hamont, for more info see touristic info).
