When you’re looking for a sportive but pleasant international youth football tournament in the Netherlands you should join the Drenthe Cup. This tournament has been in the Euro-Sportring program for over twenty years. By now, the organisers know exactly how to put down a successful competition. When the last match is played there will be a festive prize giving ceremony with a barbecue. For this occasion a music stage is built on the market square of Meppel. It is also possible to make a boat trip through the Dutch Venice: Giethoorn. Are you rather in the water than on it? Then you can swim for free in the subtropical pool. There’s plenty to do in this international youth football tournament in the Netherlands!

Facilities
The Drenthe Cup will be played at two locations. Sports complex 'Ezinge', located in the southern part of Meppel, is the home of both MSC-Antaris and MVV Alcides. With 8 pitches, a main pitch with a stand, several training pitches and two nice clubhouses with canteens this location is fairly unique. The centre of Meppel is about 5 minutes away by car. The second sports park 'Tussenboerselanden' is situated in Nijeveen, a picturesque rural village about 3 miles east of Meppel. It has 2 fine grass pitches, a cosy clubhouse, a canteen with terrace and a natural swimming pool. Both locations are situated around 5 miles from each other.

The starting from price includes participation in the tournament, stay and meal(s), but excludes an entry fee per team.

Remarks
Due to different deadlines set by national soccer associations in various age-categories the tournament organiser has awarded the following dispensations:

Category U19:
Teams from Switzerland, Belgium and Luxemburg: all players born on/after 01.01.92.
Teams from Italy: 5 players born on/after 01.01.92.
Teams from USA: all players born on/after 01.08.92.

All categories:
Teams from England and Wales: all players born on/after 01.09 of the year before.
Teams from USA: all players born on/after 01.08 of the year before.
Teams from Denmark: 2 players born on/after 01.10 of the year before.

Please note that metal studs are not permitted on artificial grass.
