The organisers of the Looiers Cup, organise this event with a huge amount of enthusiasm. They have put together a tournament that, depending on your team's results, will leave some time to see something of the region. But with plenty of activities in the evenings you may not feel the urge tot do so at all. On Thursday a reception for the team leaders is organised in the town hall while the participants can get to know each other at the open house at the sports park. But on friday their new friends will become their opponents as the tournament kicks off with the preliminary matches. The welcome ceremony will take place around midday. Friday evening offers a choice of activities. First of all, it's possible to visit the swimming centre in Dongen on invitation of the town council. The tournament continues on Saturday with some more preliminary matches followed by the classification matches and the finals. The trophies, pennants and souvenirs will be presented to the winning teams on Saturday evening in the tournament marquee. The Looiers Cup will be concluded with a festive farewell evening.

As well as participation at the tournament, Euro-Sportring also arranges the accommodation for the participants. Participants can usually choose between school accommodation, group accommodation (youth accommodation and bungalows) and hotels. Accommodations have been selected with care and must comply to a number of conditions such are they are within easy reach of the sports park, value for money, suitable for sports groups, safety provisions and a flexible management. Funparc Efteling in Kaatsheuvel (9 km from Dongen). The Efteling is the most famous theme and pleasure park of the Netherlands where many fairy-tales come to life. Opening times; 10:00-18.00 hrs. Dongen (25,000 inhabitants.) Dongen is a friendly place in the province of North Brabant close to the cities of Breda and Tilburg and near the Efteling amusement park. Dongen is made up of two villages, Dongen and ’s-Gravenmoer, which are separated by the Donge river. Of particular interest is the ‘De Bergen’ nature area that lies in the middle of a built-up area. In the Wilhelmina windmill, one of the largest mills in the province, wheat flour is still ground every Saturday. The bakers of Dongen still make their bread from this! Vennen Swimming pool. Vennen Swimming pool in Dongen comprises a sports pool and a recreational pool. The sports pool is 15 x 25 metres and has a movable floor. Willem II Stadium, Tilburg ( 15 km from Dongen). The Willem II football club was set up in 1896 and is with this one of the oldest professional clubs in the Netherlands. At the end of the nineties, the club played European football on various occasions. The cup final was won in the 2004-2005 season. The club plays its home games in the Willem II Stadium. The Willem II Stadium was opened in 1995 and accommodates 14,700 spectators.
