The city of Leipzig considers itself a sports city so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that a lot of effort has been put into making the Leipzig Friendship Cup a tournament to remember. Competitors will soon discover the extensive sports park with its 7 pitches upon arrival on Thursday. After the check in, there’ll be a team leaders reception at the VIP lounge of the Zentralstadium Leipzig, one of the stadiums where the world championships in 2006 have taken place. In the meantime, competitors are welcome in the tournament centre or are free to visit Leipzig City Centre. The tournament itself starts on Friday with an opening ceremony in the Stadion der Freundschaft (Friendship Stadium), followed by the preliminaries that will continue throughout the day. On Friday evening all teams are free to visit Leipzig and the Spring Fairground in the city centre which happens to take place during the tournament. On Saturday morning the Leipzig Friendship Cup continues with the remaining preliminaries, the intermediaries, the classification matches and of course the finals. The prize giving ceremony will take place immediately afterwards. On Saturday evening the Players Party in the tournament Marquee.

As well as participation at the tournament, Euro-Sportring also arranges the accommodation for the participants. Participants can usually choose between school accommodation, group accommodation (youth accommodation and bungalows) and hotels. The accommodation we offer has been selected with care and must comply to a number of conditions such as are they within easy reach of the sports park, do they provide value for money, are they suitalbe for sports groups, are they safe and are the management fliexible. Leipzig Fun Fair - The Leipzig Fun Fair offers around 120 attractions, including the big wheel, roller-coaster, bumper cars and shooting galleries. There’s bound to be something for everyone.

Zentralstadion Leipzig - The Zentralstadion in Leipzig, the home of FC Sachsen Leipzig, was designed especially for the 2006 FIFA World Cup Championship in Germany. The modern state of the art stadium was built inside the walls of the old stadium, that because of it 100.000 seats was nicknamed ‘Stadium of the one hundred thousand’. Bridges connect the new stadium with the old one. It has a capacity of almost 45.000 spectators. Teams that would like to visit the stadium will be able to take a guided tour. Leipzig - With a population of more than 500.000 inhabitants Leipzig is the biggest city in de federal state of Saxony. Leipzig is well known for its university and trade fair and as the birth place of Johann Sebastian Bach. But Leipzig is also quickly becoming a popular tourist destination, nicknamed Little Paris.
