Everyone at the SportCenter Kamen-Kaiserau are very experienced in welcoming football teams. The national teams of several countries felt very much at home here while preparing for the European and World Championships. The reason for this will be obvious upon arrival at the SportCenter on Friday afternoon. On Friday evening team leaders are invited to the official reception at the SportCentre while players are welcome at the open house at the home of SuS Kaiserau. On Saturday morning the preliminary matches of the Kaiserau Cup are scheduled. The official opening ceremony will take place in the afternoon. The day ends with the Westicker All Players Disco. The tournament continues on Sunday with the remaining preliminaries and the finals. The prize giving ceremony will then take place immediately afterwards. During a farewell party on Sunday evening teams can hopefully look back on a successful tournament and say goodbye to their new friends.

Dortmund (584.000 inhabitants) is located at just 9 miles from Kamen and can be reached by train in approximately 12 minutes. Dortmund is the largest city in the region, the 7th-largest in Germany and 34th-largest in the European Union. Dortmund is known as Westphalia's ‘green metropolis’. Nearly half the municipal territory consists of waterways, woodland, agriculture and green spaces with spacious parks such as Westfalenpark and the Rombergpark. Downtown Dortmund has a lot to offer. There are plenty of shopping possibilities at the ‘shopping mile’ in the city centre and you can enjoy a drink or a meal at one of the many cafés, restaurants and pubs. Cultural history tones are set by the churches in the city centre whose towers characterise the skyline of Dortmund. The city of Kamen (50.000 inhabitants) is probably best known because of the Kamener Kreuz. The cloverleaf interchange where the Autobahnen A1 and A2 meet opened in 1937 and was the second interchange between two Reichsautobahnen. Every day 160.000 vehicles pass the Kamener Kreuz. Those choosing to leave the motor way to visit Kamen, might end up in the Kamener Altstadt with its well preserved ‘Fachwerkhauser’. The Signal Iduna Park (the former Westfalen stadion) is sometimes called the ‘Opera House of German Football’ and not without good reason. With a capacity of 82.932 spectators it is Germany's largest football stadium. The home of Borussia Dortmund hosted some matches of the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Guided tours take place every day (except when Borussia Dortmund plays a home match). A visit to the Borussia Park museum is another possibility. www.signal-iduna-park.de
