A beautiful sports park in the vicinity of Lyon. What more can you possibly wish for when taking part in an international tournament? During the Beaujolais Trophy competitors will have the chance to enjoy both. After checking in on Friday, the city of Lyon is waiting to be discovered. However, on Saturday all teams will be competing in the preliminaries. During the day, team leaders will have the opportunity to get to know each other and their host during the team leaders reception and the official team’s presentation. In the evening, nothing has been planned so this will leave all teams plenty of time for some more sightseeing in Lyon or the Beaujolais area. Adults might also enjoy visiting a wine cellar instead. On Sunday, the classification matches will be played as well as the finals. On this day, some official events are scheduled and of course the prize giving ceremony which will complete Beaujolais Trophy.

As well as participation at the tournament, Euro-Sportring also arranges the accommodation for the participants. Participants can usually choose between school accommodation, group accommodation (youth accommodation and bungalows) and hotels. Beaujolais area - Anyone who appreciates a good glass of wine will feel right at home in the Pays Beaujolais, the area just north of the city of Lyon. It covers parts of the north of the Rhône département (Rhône-Alpes) and parts of the south of the Saône-et-Loire département. Here you’ll find endless vineyards, good restaurants and numerous places to see how wine is made, meet the wine makers and of course to do some wine tasting yourself. Arnas - Located in the Saône valley between Mâcon and Lyon, in the Beaujolais area, Arnas is a small village with typical goldenstone-made houses that are a tribute to the old-fashion regional architectural style. But, at the same time, Arnas, as part of the local agglomeration of Villefranche sur Saône, evolves with the modern times and offers renovated areas and constant new developments like the brand new sport complex and an ultra-modern indoor sport complex.

Villefranche sur Saône (3 miles from Arnas) - admirably positioned between the wine slopes of the Beaujolais area and at the river, Saône, we find Villefranche sur Saône. This town of 33.000 inhabitants was founded in the 12th century, and later became the capital of the Beaujolais district. Lyon (30 km from Arnas) - Two thousand years of history have left their mark on the cityscape of Lyon (1,200,000 inhabitants). The city is appreciated for the fact that it shows the signs of different part of history, from ancient times to the Renaissance period. But Lyon is not just about the past.
