The Vesterhavs Cup is one of the biggest sports events of Denmark for both handball as football teams. In 2008 more than 200 teams participated. The Guldager Idraetscenter is the heart of the tournament. It’s not only the location where the sports halls are situated where dinners will be served but also the location where all festive activies like opening ceremony and disco will take place. The tournament starts Friday evening with the opening ceremony. On Saturday the preliminaries will be played in the different sports halls. Saturday will end with a disco for the oldest participants (U19-15 and G19-15) in the big sports hall of the Guldager Idraetscenter (no alcohol). For the youngest age categories the 4 swimming pools in the different schools will be opened. On Sunday the tournament continues and in the evening a prize giving ceremony will conclude this edition of the Vesterhavs Cup.

As well as participation at the tournament, Euro-Sportring also arranges the accommodation for the participants. Participants can usually choose between school accommodation, group accommodation (youth accommodation and bungalows) and hotels.
