Stay
As well as participation at the tournament, Euro-Sportring also arranges the accommodation for the participants. Participants can usually choose between school accommodation, group accommodation (youth accommodation and bungalows) and hotels. The accommodation we offer has been selected with care and must comply to a number of conditions, such as: are they within easy reach of the sports park, do they provide value for money, are they suitable for sports groups, are they safe and is the management flexible.

Touristic information
Maastricht
The friendly Burgundian city in the very south of the Netherlands almost seems 'foreign'. No wonder really, so close to Germany and Belgium. It's a stylish city, the main city of the slightly hilly, green province of Zuid-Limburg. This city of Roman origin on the river Meuse is seen as being one of the most sociable in the whole of the Netherlands. Maastricht is a city with something to suit all tastes: whether you love culture or history, simply sauntering around or sightseeing, shopping and evenings out: Maastricht is the place to be. The heart of the city is the Vrijthof, also known as 'Maastricht's sitting room', due to all the pavement cafés and restaurants here. A visit to St. Pietersberg caves, a few km outside the city, is not to be missed.

Maastricht/some tips:
Shopping, Maastricht is the ideal shopping city. The historic shopping streets are a wonderful sight! Between the beautiful St. Servaesbridge bridge, the Markt and the Vrijthof, you can shop to your heart's delight. There's a wonderful indoor shopping centre on the outskirts of the city centre: The Brusselse Poort.
The Vrijthof and the Onze Lieve Vrouweplein are the most popular spots to enjoy a snack and a drink. It's always fun here, with crowds from early morning until late in the evening. Maastricht has plenty to offer in terms of entertainment. There is no end to (music) cafes, wine bars and discos, making this city the top of the bill for evenings out. The Burgundian attitude here is reflected in the many restaurants: something to suit all tastes!

Valkenburg (15 km from Maastricht).
Valkenburg is one of the most popular tourist resort of the Dutch province Limburg. The town offers a pleasant centre with a lot of entertainment. Special attractions are:
- the 'Thermae 2000', a luxury thermal centre with for instance a string of swimming pools, saunas and Turkish bathes
- The 'Sprookjesbos', an amusement park with various attractions and presentations of fairy tales
- the chair lift to the Wilhelmina tower.

Program introduction
Maastricht Trophy organisers are very experienced hosts and participants will notice this already on arrival day. A programme is prepared that, depending on the results of your teams, will provide enough time to discover the city and its surroundings. On the first evening the teamleaders are expected for the reception in the clubhouse of VV Standaard. At the same time and place the players can 'warm-up' in the Penalty Cup competition or listen to the hit music of the moment. The official opening takes place at Sportpark West on Saturday morning. After the welcome by the cities councillor for Sport and the parade of flags the tournament matches start. In the evening it is time for the teamleaders to show their skills in the traditional match for team leaders at the grounds of RKVVL Polaris. The day will end in the new clubhouse where the popular international Disco takes place. Sunday is the climax of the tournament matches. After the last classification matches the best teams will play for the trophies in the finals. The prizes will be presented after the finals in the clubhouse of RKVVL Polaris at Sportpark West. Sunday evening is free for all to enjoy the atmosphere of Maastricht city-center or even take a trip to Valkenburg!
